Re: When does your 7 month old nap?

  • DD is a short napper (45 min) so we still have 3 a day. She's usually up around 7:30, nap at 9, nap after lunch around 12:30 and nap at 4 before supper. She goes to bed around 7.

my DS exactly - i know my DS is only 6 months but he's still napping 4 times a day. up at 6ish then down again either at 7 or 8 for 45 min then again at 9ish for another 45 min and again around 1 for at least 45 sometimes 1.5 hrs then a catnap for about 30 min around 4/5.  bed time at 7

  • We are almost 8 months here, but we are down to 2 naps.  She wakes around 7 and is usually awake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, so back down around 10.  She sleeps for *about* an hour, sometimes longer.  Then she awake for another 3 - 3 1/2 hours and goes down for her afternoon nap, so between 2 and 3 she falls asleep.  Sometimes this nap is one hour, sometimes it's two.  Then she is awake until bedtime, between 7 and 7:30.  She still wakes once overnight to nurse, anywhere from 3am-5am, but she isn't up long for that.  The nap times vary from day to day, depending on when she wakes up, but her awake time are pretty predictable.

  • Right now shes getting up about 9:30 and napping from maybe 2:30 or 3 to 4 or 5. Back to bed at 8:30. She takes little naps between but not on a schedule.

  • We are wavering between 2-3 naps right now and I never know if he's going to take that last one or not...but he wakes for the day around 8:00, takes a nap around 11:00, takes another nap around 3:00. That's typical. Every now and then he needs a quick nap at about 6:30 (random) and he'll get up around 7:15, then goes to bed for the night usually about 8ish.

  • Ds wakes up between 7 and 8 am, and naps twice a day. He takes a 1.5-2.5 hour nap mid-morning, and a 1.5-2 hour nap in the afternoon. He's been doing this for over two months. He looks like as he nears 8 months he may switch to one long nap in the middle of the afternoon though.
  • Our 7 month old consistently naps at 9am (up at around 7) for hour and 1/2, at 1 for 1 1/2, and at 4-5ish for about 45 mins.

Trying dropping the 3rd nap but she was going to bed at 6:00 exhausted, and I hoped to stretch it out so that my husband could at least see her before she went to bed. Bedtime is around 7.

Will probably try drop the 3rd nap in the coming weeks and see how it goes.
