lunch time

what are you feeding your LO for lunch? (feel like i'm in a lunch time rut)

Re: lunch time

  • She loooves bananas, so that's always an easy one, with a side of another kind of fruit or veggie... She likes pasta, grilled cheese sandwiches, we also buy the "graduates" meals for occasions when we're feeling tired or want something quick. She isn't a picky eater..

  • Me too! Normally DS gets peanut butter and cinnamon or PB&J sandwiches on 1 slice of wheat bread with some graham cracker sticks, cheetos, or fruit. He is not a big fan of anything other than fruits, veggies, and carbs so it's hard to get different foods into him. Occasionally he will eat a turkey or ham with shredded cheese grilled on the George Foreman. Sometimes he gets a yogurt cup and he's good. It just depends. I've tried sneaking in broccoli, but no matter how I fix it he won't eat it. Must be a smell thing. I need ideas, too.

  • uhh... Fredalina, your my hero! Thanks!
  • Cheese and/or bean and cheese quesadillas on whole wheat tortillas, wraps(turkey or ham, a little cream cheese or a creamy cheese like havarti), hummus on toast, whole wheat (sometimes regular) pasta with olive oil and parmesan cheese, pb & j sammies, cheese sammies, veggies and fruit, yogurt.

  • DS always has veggies, either with cheese and fruit or a pb or soy nut butter and jelly sandwich. Occasionally, he'll have leftovers from dinner or pita and hummus or yogurt in stead of the sandwich. He's not real big on meat, so we tend to stay away from that.
