Are diaper raffles tacky? My cousin is throwing my baby shower, she is out of town so she will be hosting at my house but thats just geography. she told me about a shower she went to where they did this with the prize being a 100$ gift card. What are your thoughts?

I think it is fine... it isn't like you are forcing anyone to participate.
A friend of my husband's had a dad shower where they did a poker night. The buy-in was a large pack of diapers. I think the prize was $50 or $100. The guys really liked it.
My mom did this but it wasn't a $100 GC. She had it as one of the regular games. I got a lot of diapers from it. In fact I'm still returning diapers since DD has grown out of all the ones I got.
So, no I don't think its a bad idea, but I don't think your cousin needs to put out a $100 as a prize.
Thats kinda what I thought when she said 100$, but that was all on her. I dont know if she had talked to the co-hosts (my aunt and good friend) and they decided that or if she just thought it was expected.
Thanks for the input!

So people bring diapers and can win something?
