I dont come on here too much, but I am a little sad and I have gotten support on there before.  Evan is about to be 14 months, and i was nursing him twice a day.  Saturday night for the first time EVER, he said no to nipple.  I tried last night again and he said no, and just layed on them.  He always self weaned, and i am proud of myself for 14 months (7 pumping) but I am a little sad that he doesnt do it anymore.  This morning instead of nursing he came and gave me a tight hug like to tell me it will be okay, lol...just wanted to vent a little

Congratulations on going for so long!  We are about at 1 year, and it's rough to think that one day he won't want my milk anymore.   That's tough for the mommy.  How exciting that you made it through to self-weaning though!

Thanks!  I think that is the tough part because I always thought I would have to wean, but he self-weaned.  Easier, but hard on me...lol

I felt the same way when DD decided she didn't want to nurse before bed anymore at 16 months.  We were down to just once a day but I wasn't expecting her to be the one to end it.  Mixed feelings for sure!

That sounds like it would be hard, but at the same time, great because he self weaned and was ready!  Good job to you for sticking to it for this long!

Aw I feel you.  I was so sad when DD weaned (also self weaned at around 11 months). She just made a face at my milk and didn't want any ever again!  I do think being pregnant had a lot to do with it, as far as maybe the milk changing in taste.  

I'm excited to BF this new baby coming up in January!
