Does anyone know of some good toddler-appropriate fall or halloween things coming up? My son just turned two, and some of the stuff available is too scary or not available for his age. We are looking for something fun!
The Houston zoo has Zoo Boo, very kid oriented. The Children's Museum has Halloween activities. Many of the local churches have fall festivals or Halloween events on Halloween or the weekend before.
I'm sure there will be a ton of fall festivals this weekend. Bridgeland (out in Cypress) has a Howl-O-Ween festival on Saturday. It's pretty dog-centered, so there are lots of dogs in costumes; there are dogs that jump off a dock to retrieve something, and last year there was a clown with a dog that does tricks, etc. They also have a small train that's appropriate for your kiddo, as well as little kid basketball and soccer games. My son was almost two at this festival last year, and it was fun for him.

We have been to Zoo Boo with my 4 year old and it is a lot of fun. We plan to go again this year with both the infant and four year old. Lots of fun activities!
Thank you for all of the info - we are looking at the Zoo Boo, which sounds fun, and Dewberry farms. One of my friends told me about the Pumpkin patch party at Gymboree, so that sounds like a good option. We wanted to make sure whatever we did wasn't too long, but for $20, he gets to go to an hour long party and wear his costume (which he is WAY too proud of!!!) I think they even get a snack.
