Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem II Stroller

Anyone have any experience with this stroller?

I like it because DS can be in the front and check stuff out, instead of a sit and stand where he would stare at my legs ( and probably not sit/stand very well)

Re: Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem II Stroller

  • You might want to look at the Optima Tandem.  It's 10lbs lighter than the Options II.  I've never pushed either, so I'm not sure how they handle.

  • We have been really happy with ours. We call it "the bus" as it is pretty long, but for how big it is, it really navigates well.

It opens and folds (with one seat removed) fairly easily, but it is bulky and awkward to lift into the back of the van. The flexibility in seat configurations is really nice, though and the seats are really easy to remove, attach, and recline. My 20 month old son loves using the cup holder for his water bottle or goldfish crackers. : ) I find the two adult cup holders and the storage area between them at the handle to be quite useful.

As the previous poster suggested, the Optima version is lighter and I would recommend paying a bit more $$ for that update. Unfortunately, we bought ours before the Optima was out. Had I known it was coming, I probably would have waited.

So do you not wish there were a tray?  That is the ONLY thing stopping me from getting this stroller is that it has no trays!  MH thought the tray isn't necessary and that we won't miss having it, but that same week we found out selves at a food court serving DD her food on her stroller tray.

  • Well, I guess I've never thought about it not having a tray - but, I can see how that might be convenient.  None of our strollers have had trays, though, so it's not something I'm used to.  If we're out at mealtime, we usually just put DS1 in a booster/high chair and use a "Tiny Diner" placemat at the restaurant/food court table for him.

So, long story short...the lack of a tray wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me.  Good luck with your decision!
