Does your LO pee during diaper changes more when it's cold outside?

LO hasn't peed during a diaper change for months, and then this weekend it seemed like he peed during almost every diaper change (we have gotten careless about covering him up). He's not sick, and his diapers are otherwise normal, so I wondered if the temperature being a little cooler in the house is making the difference. We only heat to 67 or 68, and the house had been warmer over the past few weeks.

Yes!  Make the changes quick.  I usually put the clean diaper underneath the dirty one, then quickly slide the old one out.

DS went through a phase when he was your sons age when I got pee'd on a lot.  I think they think its fun

Yes! I can't remember who told me (hospital, pedi or friend) but it's true. Whenever I change him and it's cold, he'll pee on me if I take too long.

This is a good heads up, b/c DS hasn't peed during a diaper change in a while (he's 11 months) - hmmmm.... I will keep my guard up during the upcoming colder weather.

good to know!  we stopped covering DS because when we do, he grabs the wipe we're using to cover him and sticks it in his mouth - ewwww.

We had an epic poopy day on Sunday - LO hadn't pooped for a couple of days and then pooped three times on Sunday (all when DH was out of the house, hmmm). At one point, LO stuck his hand down to explore during the diaper change and it came away covered in poop. And before I could grab his wrist, he stuck his fingers in his mouth. #babiesaregross
