Hi, I learned Friday that I have a blighted ovum and the sac is measuring 6w4d. We're devastated and it was a rough weekend. I reached out to my closest friends for support and they are beyond amazing. This weekend I lurked around and you all seem to be incredibly supportive ladies which was comforting. 

 I'm at work and already fighting back tears. I work with pregnant and parenting youth so reminders are all around me constantly. I also share my office with both my supervisees so they are unfortunately witness to my crying which has caused an awkward dynamic. My goal is to try and stay dry-eyed when they are in the room. Wish me luck!

So so sorry for your loss. You are so brave for heading in to work today and I wish you luck staying dry eyed!  I don't know your exact situation and I'm not trying to give unsolicited advice but make sure that you are good to yourself...if it is too much to be around these young parents/pregnant women so soon take some time off if you can. I am so glad that you have some supportive friends IRL... and you will find these ladies supportive here. I hope that you have better days ahead.

We had very similar weekends.  I found out on Friday that my yolk sac was measuring 5 weeks 3 days and I should have been 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant.  It's such a terrible, sad thing.  I am so sorry for your loss. 

You are so strong for going back to work.  I can imagine being in that setting would make anyone cry who has been through a loss.  It's okay to cry, people understand.  I've cried at work so many times, and not even for this, but much smaller things, like breaking up with a boyfriend.  As each day passes you'll need to cry less and less, but give yourself the time you need to greive and cry.  (((HUGS)))

Thank you for all the wonderful words of support!  This whole experience is so hard in that I feel like the emotions catch me so off guard some times. I can't imagine how I'll be when the bleeding actually begins. This has made me have a new respect and appreciation for reaching out and asking for help.
