LO's sharing a room?

Right now we live in a 2 bedroom townhouse..when my 2nd little boy arrives in Feb I know he will sleep with us for the first few months but how easy will it be for big brother (18 months) to adjust to sharing his room? were you worried the newborn would wake up the older child? my husband says Im worried for nothing and people have had kids sharing rooms for years, any thoughts or expierences would be helpful! TIA

We have our 2 sharing a room.  We used to live in a 2br apt, and DD moved in with DS when she was 6 months old.  By then, she was mostly STTN, so she didn't wake overnight to eat any longer.  They do occasionally wake each other up - but usually when they first go to sleep or when they wake in the am.  If they wake up overnight, the other often sleeps through it.  

I do have them take naps separately (DD in the pnp in our room).  We actually moved, and they could have their own rooms now, but we kept them together because they like having each other in the room.  However, we will probably be moving DD out soon - DS will be going into his big boy bed, and I don't want him messing with DD in her crib!
