I feel guilty whenever I'm not playing with my 4 month old LO, ie if I have her in the swing or gym. I'm trying not to be too hard on myself, I know I can't play with her 24/7 but I'm wondering how often your LOs are on their own. I've tried wearing her and she doesn't really like it because she's so active.
Re: Guilt?
I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. If your daughter isn't upset, then letting her play on her own is not something you should feel guilty about.
My daughter has recently become much more independent, and is content to play on her own with me in the room within view. In fact she's giggling and kicking in her bouncer right now.
I take advantage of it and try to get stuff done around the house (sometimes).
If you're feeling guilty you can always make silly faces at her every once in a while. That is still playing, even if you aren't holding her.
I still feel guilty if im not engaging DS in something, but i know i cant 100% of the time. Now he is watching Super Why yelling answers at the tv and LO is kicking around in my lap.
But i need 15min of Mommy Time every now and then to keep my sanity. Noone is crying/ hungry/ wet/ hurt/ whatever so i try to not be so hard on myself
