He's not yet 5, but my 4.5 yo. loves Phineus and Ferb and if I let him, he'd watch SpongeBob (I detest that show, so he won't be watching it here). He's not into non-cartoons yet. My stepson is 13 and watches all those tween shows (Good Luck Charlie, Suite Life, Ant Farm, etc.) and DS doesn't really care for them yet.
My 4.5 year old is nuts about the Berenstein Bears or some reason. He also likes SuperWhy and Dinosaur Train (thus far he has only seen Sprout and PBS kids)

This summer we switched our cable to a different package (and finally got DVR), DD and DS1 just discovered Nick Jr. It wasn't on our previous set up- extended basic. On the old set up, they had just started watching Cartoon Network. This bought a little more time with the "kiddie" shows : ) Not the reason we switched but a perk...
My cousin's daughter, who I'm watching during the week days, is allowed to watch PBS, Nick Jr., or Disney. Usually the only thing she wants to watch on Disney is Good Luck Charlie and she's 3! She loves it!
My DD is just over 3 1/2 and she likes the kiddie shows, but she loves Shake It Up, Good Luck Charlie, iCarly and Wizards of Waverly. The hubby and I actually don't mind watching those shows either.
We actually don't watch a lot of cable, my kids prefer DVD's. That said, when I'm getting ready for work in the morning, they watch Sesame Street and Arthur (I think that's what comes on at 7. They will ask for Sponge Bob Square pants and will watch Phineas and Pherb and ICarly if it's on. But like I said, other than that, it's DVD's. This week their favorites are Shark Boy and Lava Girl and Coraline.

DS likes teletoon retro, basically the cartoons we watched as kids. He loves classic spiderman and inspector gadget, and loves superhero squad. He is not into non cartoon shows yet. Lately he barely watches tv, he loves computer games and his itouch.
Gracie likes Arthur, Electric Company, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Phineas and Ferb. She still likes Dora though. I admit the Wizards show is definitely too old for her but her big sisters like it.
Ethan is 5 & still more than content to watch Nick Jr and PBSkids. He loves Team Umizoomi, The Upside Down Show, Dino Dan, etc.
He's also a fan of Food Network--we watch the Challenge shows & Iron Chef.
I won't be letting him watch any of Disney's shows for older kids bc in my experience, the kids are bratty, sarcastic & disrespectful to one another & to grown ups.
My kids (4 and 2.5) watch Dora, The Backyardigans, Toopy and Binoo, Cars (and spinoffs of same); some parts of Spiderman, any of Back to the Future and as much tennis as they can stand.
They are so far reluctant to try new shows (but when desperate will agree to any cartoony thing that's on).
promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
My kids are into old school right now. The surfs, transformers, old batman. They also like transformers prime, Sid the science kid, and Jake and the neverland pirates.
DS is almost 5 and he still likes all of the Disney Jr shows, especially Imagination Movers. He has also gotten into Phineas and Ferb which we enjoy too. On PBS he likes Caiuo (and I know I spelled that wrong), Wild Cratz, Clifford, Dinosaur Train and he just recently discovered Cyber Chase. He has watched Good Luck Charlie before and he LOVES Charlie (he really loves babies :-) He also enjoys watching 19 Kids and Counting with me (again with all of the babies) and anything on Food Network.

DD is 4 (almost 5) and likes to watch Caillou, Clifford, Curious George and SuperWhy on PBS. I'll also let her watch Olivia and she still likes to watch Dora sometimes. Otherwise, it's DVDs. She would watch SpongeBob, Bubble Guppies, Fresh Beat Band, etc. if I let her but I think they are either inappropriate or annoying, so we stick to the other ones. I'll DVR the PBS shows so if she wants to watch something later in the day when they're not usually on, she still can.
Also, DD#2 is big into Sesame Street right now and while it's not DD#1's first choice, if we are home and they get to watch a show in the morning I usually let DD#2 pick, so DD#1 will also sit down to watch Sesame Street if DD#2 is watching it.

DS is 5 and his favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He also enjoys Upside Down Show, Kipper, and Sesame Street.
He also loves watching How it's Made on Discovery.
What he goes batty over is Roadrunner & Coyote as well as Bugs Bunny cartoons. I generally DVR Looney Tunes on Cartoon Network and we watch it during the day (then I can FF thru commercials).
I'm a big jerk and make the girls agree on a show to watch, which leaves not very many options... they can usually agree on Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Special Agent OSO or Little Einsteins. (Disney Junior much?) Sometimes if they're feeling mellow, they'll agree to Caillou.
DH has recently been exposing them to the classics (Jetsons, Tom & Jerry), and they totally dig those as well.

DS is 5 and likes Batman Brave and the Bold, Scooby-Doo, Curious George, Super Hero Squad, and Clifford. He refuses to watch Nick Jr and says it's for babies, with the exception of Little Bear, which he still loves for some reason. On a good day, he gets about two shows a day, so I usually just DVR a couple.

I let DD watch Phineas & Ferb, Good Luck Charlie, Shake it Up, ANT Farm.
It's no secret I enjoy Good Luck Charlie & Shake It Up
We don't have cable, so he gets the shaft on videos. I've hidden all the ones I don't like.
My 6 and 4 yo likes
Phineus & Pherb, Scooby Doo 9 (this is a favorite ), Gumball ? I think this is on the Cartoon Network, Dinosaur train, Max & Ruby

My boys are into the HUB lately - specifically old Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry cartoons. DD likes My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake.
They used to watch Phineas & Ferb, but I didn't like them watching it.

Um....The Outdoor Channel and Cops and Wipeout?
He's not into cartoons too much. He'll be 5 in January, so I know I'll be shot for not living up to Nest standards. Oh well.
