Dr Preference at North Florida OBGYN?

New to the boards! I see many of you have recommended North Florida OBGYN & Baptist South in previous posts. There are so many doctors in the practice. Any preferences?

I am getting ready to schedule my first prenatal appointment and am wondering if I should request a certain Dr.  We live right around the corner from North Florida OBGYN so that location makes the most sense for us, especially because I want to deliver at Baptist South.

 Appreciate the advice.

I am not sure, but I think Dr. Jago went to Baptist South. She delivered my son at St. Vincent's. The first time I met her was the day I went into labor at 30wks 6days. She was AWESOME!!!! She encouraged me & helped me have the med free birth I wanted! Very Nice! & a great labor coach!

Not really - when you deliver you'll get whoever is on call so throughout your pregnancy they will rotate you through all of the doctors.  Personally I love Tyra (that's who I see for everything now, since we're finished having babies), Dr. VanBennekom and Dr. Greenhaw.

I love Dr. VanBennekom, he is our favorite.  I am due ion February and He is the one we have seen the most.  They recommend seeing all the dr.s so you know who they are, but if you really like someone stick with them and you will have a good chance of having them deliver you

I've liked pretty much all of the doctors.  I started off with Dr. VanBennekom as my first/primary but like the PP said, they rotate you through all of the doctors b/c you don't know who will be on-call when you deliver.  You really don't get much of a choice who delivers you.  Dr. Conner delivered me and I hadn't gotten a chance to meet him yet.  I really liked Dr. Stoddard too.

I had Dr. Laubscher and she was wonderful. They do want you to meet all of the doctors and see everyone. But you can stick with one doctor and go to him or her. I stuck with Dr. L and she delivered my baby. I was very lucky to have her.
