BJCS! I called BBB and they are letting me return the JOOVY caboose for a store credit (we got rid of the box) YAY! I really want the BJCS, but already have a BOB duallie. How can I make DH understand that I need this stroller too?!? (Sorry bumping from iPhone)

Re: Help me convince DH that I need a....
why do you need 2 strollers? I personally don't like the BJCS, and the seats are way too close. Have you ever seen the kids in them, one always ends up with his legs all squished and off to the side. My friend has one.
Anyways, now that I ranted. Why don't you try to sell your BOB on craigslist? I'm sure if he knows you've gotten the money back, he'll be ok with it.
Personally, I totally see why you need two strollers. They are for two totally different purposes. I don't have a BOB or a BJCS but I know enough to know that you can't take a BOB everywhere, those things are big and I believe pretty heavy too. But, I'm sure it's great for outside (parks, zoos etc.) when you might not want to use the BJCS.
Just do what I did, complain enough that he will just want to buy you the damn stroller so he won't have to hear about it anymore. No, I'm kidding (kind of ), I think you should play up the fact that you can also use it as a single if you need to take just your older son somewhere and that it will make getting around with your boys much easier.
Ladies...start big!!! I have a Bugaboo Cameleon, begged for the Donkey and my H happily got me a Bob. $700 in camparison to two grand was music to his ears. LOL-I would have rather had the Donkey though....with Emerson all I used was the Bug-errands, traveling, running outside.
It does seem to me that with the double strollers you have to have several to suit your needs. I have a McLaren Triumph and use it for running errands and taking the babies from the car to school and the Bob for running. I could never get that hunk of rock in my car because it's so heavy and big.
I really don't care for the City Select either...it just seems one of the babies would always be missing out on something because he's all squished up in the back.
I wish someone could make a double stroller that would suit all needs with one stroller....IMO, it's the Donkey but, it's also two thousand dollars. The caveat is that many moms spend close to that on a variety of strollers to suit their many needs. ::::shrugs::::
Different strollers for different situations. I've got 3 strollers in rotation, plus I had a DSNG back in the day.
I have my BJCS which is my main errand running stroller. It's got a huge basket so I take it to the store and don't even bother with a grocery cart. There is no way I could maneuver the baby clothing racks at a place like Target or Gymboree if I were using my all terrain stroller, which is a Baby Jogger City Series. Even though it fits through doors, it's giant and is best suited to outdoor activities. Plus it's super heavy and not something I want to be pulling in and out of the car on my own. I'd imagine the BOB is about the same weight. It would be miserable to pull that thing in and out of the car all the time. I see you're in AZ - I'm also in a hot climate and I can't imagine putting the jogger in and out of the car on a hot day.
I also have a Combi that I use for very quick trips, when I don't want to have to set up the BJCS. The Combi folds faster than the BJCS, and the BJCS is really easy to fold. It just has the extra step of removing the second seat. I keep my seats facing each other and take off the second seat to fold it because it folds flatter that way.
all of this.
I have a Valco trimode twin AND a BJCS - and use them both often, but for totally different things. I NEED both strollers - and like having the options.
why do you have to convince him? why does he get to make the final decision? just saying... if you are the one who is with the kids the most -if you feel you need it - then you should be able to decide that - my husband would never tell me i could not get something... we're a team, and if I feel i need something, and we can afford it then I get it.
