If I ran FB...

I would make it possible to block anything relating to kids/pregnancy.  This includes, but is not limited to: belly pics, baby pics, family pics, status updates about pregnancy/babies, ALL countdown to baby crap AND "vote for my kid in the cutest kids contest".  Weekends are always full of family crap on FB, I get to look at it alone, while DH is at work (on his day off).

If you ran FB, what would you like to change?  Or how about TB?

I second all of what you said!  My DH actually just completely deleted his FB last week for this very same reason.  He just couldn't (or didn't want to) take it anymore.

I hate the way they advertise!  when I was still dating DH and secretly peeking at wedding dresses online, I would get ads on the side for engagement rings!  Like a reminder that my boyfriend hadnt proposed yet!  Then now that I am on the bump all the time, I get ads for baby stuff and pediatricians in my area.  IT SUCKS!!!

Happened to me too!!!!  AND the baby stuff.  Super sucky.

ETA: Most of my ads now are for cat stuff since I kept "closing" the baby crap.  I guess I am shaping up to be the crazy cat lady.

I greatly prefer cat ads to baby stuff. Fb did the same thing to me with the ads.. Engagement rings, wedding dresses, baby stuff... Now pet things here too. 

 

I have all pregnant people blocked as well as all of the people who only talk about their kids.

Definitely would like the ability to block pg/kid stuff...some days I can handle it but others I can't.  There is nothing worse than being blindsided by it on bad days.

I agree with you....I would make it illegal to annouce your pregnancy on FB.  Can't they create something that you can hide them all if you do not want to see them?  My gosh they have apps for everything else.

I agree with you and I would also block seeing photos pop up when people I know are tagged in pics about babies.
