My son is almost 9 months (about 7 months, adjusted). Last weekend, he was getting on all fours and rocking quite a bit. Over the past several days, he has stopped doing it completely. Even when I try to put his knees under him, he collapses immediately. I know he might not be ready to crawl, but I'm concerned because he was doing more and seems to have regressed this week. Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks!!
Re: On all fours...then regressing
Has he learned any other new skills? Sometimes they "forget" a skill when they learn a new one.
My girls rolled over at about 3 months and then didn't do it again for a while. There were other things that they were interested in doing.
I wouldn't worry right now. I know a lot of babies that never really crawled and went right to walking.
exactly what I was going to say! P isn't crawling yet, but the rolling thing scared me! He rolled multiple times over about 2-3 days then just stopped completely for a week or more. Our pedi mentioned the thing about new skills. I'm not sure of the specific skill that set him back, but he did get back to rolling. I think it's pretty common.
