at about 2.5 months he had to stay overnight at my moms in the pack and play. he slept well so when he came home he went to his crib for the night. he would sleep from about 930/10 until about 5 in his crib. when he woke up to eat in the morning i would put him back to sleep in the rnp next to my bed for a couple of hours. now we only use it occasionally when we need somewhere for him to sit while our hands are tied. i have a feeling we will pack it up for storage within the nexy week or two.
Around 6.5-7 months. It was ugly trying to do it cold turkey because I was weaning from RnP and swaddling at the same time. After three days of no sleep another Bumper suggested the Guardian Sleeper, a strap in the crib. It kept my DS from rolling around and made him feel secure like in the RnP. It helped me a lot!
We slowly deswaddled her around 4 months in the rock n play. After that week we moved her into the crib for naps. Then the following week we did nights.
I think it was around the first month he started sleeping in his crib. DS normally slept in his nursery with one of us sleeping in a twin bed in the room. I would just swaddle him in the crib. I used the RnP mainly for naps out in our family room. It wasn't difficult getting him to sleep in his crib. The transition was quite easy for us.
We did it around the four-month mark. We had a few setbacks because she was just learning how to roll (and getting stuck on her stomach) but once she got the hang of that, she slept better and better. We transitioned to the PnP because she did better with it than the crib and now we have to get her in the crib (biggest waste of money, that crib!)

We did it around 4 months for nights and then 4.5 months for naps. Nights was much easier, he just made the transition. Days were more difficult. He would bang his legs down after holding them up in the air. At the time, we were putting him down fully asleep, so to help him stay asleep when putting him in the crib, we put our arm on the crib on his butt (his legs were up) so when he banged them down they didn't have too far to go. This went on for a week or two. Hang in there, your little one will make it!
I did it cold turkey when my LO was 3 months old. She started pushing her legs down as if she was standing up in it. That started making me nervous so I stopped using it all together, by then my LO was STTN so we just put her in her crib. She's always been a pretty good sleeper & didnt' have to do anything special to transition her to her crib.

4.5 mos. We started putting DD in her crib only at night. I'd put her in the crib at bedtime, and then after her MOTN wakeups, I'd put her in the RNP. Then we started her in the crib for naps, and after that, we started putting her back in the crib after MOTN wakeups.
4 months, cold turkey! She went from sleeping in our room in the RNP and then alone in her room in the crib. We were kindof forced into it, I wasn't ready to do it for 2 more weeks, but she had a really bad night (waking up uncharacteristically), and I decided then and there to Ferberize her. LOL. It worked.

At 5 months when DD started acting uncomfortable in it. She actually starting trying to roll over in it so she could sleep on her tummy. It took a couple bad nights of wakings every few hours in the crib, but she has been sleeping like a champ ever since.
