Yeah, True Blood is what I thought of when you said "southern vampire."  Well, you've gotta have some Merlotte's Merlot, right?   And maybe a fruit punch-type drink you can call V-juice?

You need to get the Sookie Stackhouse Companion, Charlaine Harris' newest book. It's half novella and half info about the town and characters. It includes a whole section on recipes from the books! There are recipes for: beignets, burgers Lafayette, Merlotte's chicken strips, jambalaya, hush puppies, biscuits, fried green tomatoes, Caroline Bellefleur's famous chocolate cake, pralines, sweet tea, front porch lemonade, and lots more! What a fun party!
