In the past couple of years I've had pretty bad heartburn. I've been taking prilosec or prevacid-which keeps it from happening in the first place and its worked really well.
Once I found out I was pregnant I switched to the occasional Zantac and Tums-but they just aren't cutting and I'm having to take Zantac up to 3 times a day. I tried to do some research online and it "seems" like both Zantac and Prevacid are safe-I'd rather take the Prevacid as its one pill and I feel fine the rest of the day.
Anyone else taking Prevacid during your pregnancy? I haven't had a chance to talk to my RE about it.

Re: Prevacid?
I take generic Prevacid (prescription Lansoprazole) everyday. It works great. It is a class B drug.
Prilosec (Omeprazole) is a class C drug, so not really safe during pregnancy. Before TTC, my OB switched me from Prilosec to Prevacid.
Unless something's changed and I'm wrong, I think you should avoid Prilosec. Also, get a prescription rather than doing OTC- it will probably be cheaper!
ETA: I'm an idiot- not sure why I started talking about Prilosec when your OP mentions Zantac. I believe Zantac is safe as well!!
