Once they start using sippy cups, do they stop using bottles for formula? And feed themselves? DD currently "feeds" herself but I hold her and have to help.
I started giving DS his 2 'daytime' bottles in the sippie for a few weeks now. I'll put him in his highchair with it while I unload the dishwasher or do dishes so we can watch each other. He still gets his morning and bedtime bottle as usual. He's been on the sippy for a few months now.
Just this week LO will drink out of his sippy...before he would just play. Since he isn't wasting the liquid, I now put BM in it during lunch and dinner time. At most he gets 2oz..so for us we are still doing all the same nursing sessions. And like your LO I have to hold it up for him.
I went by E's ques. She started to push away the bottle and then just started refusing to even touch it. Like PP said, once she started really drinking from it and not wasting what was in it is when we started putting formula in it.
