Seriously??? Stupid movie theater

My mom offered to watch the boys Sat evening so DH and I could go out (she never offers, I'm always asking her to watch them).  We never go to the movies anymore and wanted to do that but all the movies start at 4/430 which can be iffy with nap time or between 630 - 730 which is getting into bedtime.  Where are the 530/600pm shows??

Re: Seriously??? Stupid movie theater

  • She might be able to but she's watching my niece that evening too, so I'm not sure.
  • Is it really that big of a deal to let them stay up and extra hour?

  • I'm confused about the 4/4:30 time being a problem with naps????
  • Sorry about that.

Next time we figure out movie times we will consult with you and what time your kids nap and go to bed.  Clearly we PURPOSEFULLY chose the movie times to fvck up your date.

    Sincerely,

    Movie Theater Management.

You actually took the time to create an AE just to respond to this post? Indifferent

  • Its because the movies play in sets. They all start around the same time, then the staff has about and hour and a half to stock back up, clean up etc before the next big wave. They dont have enough theaters Im sure, to have showings of every movie every hour. Movies are generally 90-120 mins.

(Can you tell I worked at a movie theatre for years? lol)

  • I worked at a movie theater for years as well, even did the scheduling of staff and show times.  Unless it was a MAJOR movie we didn't have 1.5 hrs between showtimes.

4/430 is a problem because the boys sometimes wont go down till 2 and they will still be sleeping and not up in time to take to my parents house, and yes they have to go there because my grandparents will be there and they want to see the boys.

My oldest could stay up later but my youngest will be majorly cranky and I'm not going to do that to my parents.

Overall, I was just bummed we get a night out and the show times dont work out.  Some of you made me remember why I stopped posting here a long time ago, because there are just too many that have a superior attitude and get snotty about everything (was this post really worthy of as much negativity as some of you gave)   Whatever.  I will go back to only posting questions I'm looking for answers to.

  • LOL.

Wow, you're touchy and extremely irrational.

  • Clearly the three day wait is no longer used!
  • I don't think I would worry about your child being cranky staying up an extra hour when there will be cousins and grandparents/great there to entertain them. It's not the same as staying up late at home.
  • I think you need a sitter to come to your house or go see a really early movie.

What snotty, superior, negative responses are you referring to?  And LOL at only posting questions you're looking for answers to.  What kind of questions were you posting before?

I don't think anyone was snotty. The AE was effing with you, but why get bent out of shape for these responses? That was nothing.
