It wasn't bad. I cried, which I fully expected, but it was a good appointment. We went over my entire cycle. He said the only thing he'd change in my protocol is to have me on a high dose from the get-go. My E2 level was 2556 at the max and he said he likes it at least at 3000. However, even with that, my eggs were mature, the fert rate was good, the retrieval went well, the embryos were great quality and the transfer was easy. So he said we unfortunately fell into the 40% unsuccessful category. There's no real reason why it didn't work. That's nice
We talked about doing a FET. With us moving out of state, that poses new challenges but we decided to find a Dr there for monitoring, and have him do the FET here. He said it's safer for the embryos not to travel, so that's the plan. He's going to help me find an RE there (how awesome is that??)! I'm hoping to do the FET in February.

Sounds like you have a supportive RE who really wants to help. I'm sure the "no reason" explanation is kind of a double-edged sword. It's good that everything went "right," but then it's frustrating that it didn't work. Sounds like you have a good plan in place for the future. I'm hoping with all my might you have success in February! ((Hugs))

I totally get your conflicting feelings. It's great to know that everything was technically fine, but so frustrating and upsetting that it didn't work.
Your RE sounds like a really caring guy. That is awesome that he is going to help you find an RE when you move. I am praying with all my heart that your FET inFeb is a success!! (BIG HUGS)

I'm sorry Katt. I got the same, you just didn't fall on the successful side of things my first IVF. No rhyme or reason which I'm not sure is comforting or frustrating.
So sorry Katt. It has to be frustrating not having a definite reason for it not working. That's really awesome of your RE to help you out! Hope the move goes well.

I'm sorry you didn't get a better answer. But that is great that you have such a good RE. Good luck with everything. I hope February gets here quickly for you!
