We used teething tablets with DS and now with DD. We dissolve three tablets, one at a time, running the tablet over their gums until it dissolves. We do this right after a Tylenol or Motrin dose, and they seem to help immediately while we wait for the medicine to kick in. Also, Motrin kicks Tylenol's butt, if your LO is old enough for it. I was more excited about Motrin than anything else when LO turned 6 months.

we use the hylands tablets, they work very well for DD! The first time I used them with her, I think she was overcome by the euphoria of no pain and became extremely hyper! I was hesistant to use them after that, BUT I used them that same evening and she slept very comfortably. I got ours at CVS, they have them in the baby section.
They were recalled in 2010 because of something that happened in some of the Hyland's manufacturing plants, but they're back on the shelves as of August of this year. I've seen them at CVS and Dollar General recently. Amazon has them, too, but they're not Prime eligible. Boo.
I use teething tablets and an amber necklace. Honestly, the amber necklace made a HUGE difference for my son. He was stuffy, crying and drooling buckets.. literally 30 minutes after putting it on he was not stuffy anymore unless laying down, stopped drooling almost completely and he was smiling... I was amazed. It took about 3 days for the stuffiness to completely go away. Now his teething has been mostly unnoticeable. On days where I see him pull at his ears and he is a little fussy I just add a couple tablets. I usually rub them into his gums if he seems particularly uncomfortable. I do this maybe once a week. I bought his necklace for 20 bucks and got it about 3 weeks later from www.amberartisans.com they have lots of variety as well as tons of information if your unsure of what they are. In a nutshell, it's a fossil resin that produces lactic acid (an anti inflamatory) that you can absorb through your skin. Its amazing!!!
Where did you get your teething tablets? I went to Target and they told me it was recalled.
I don't have the Hylands so Im not sure where you get those... but I bought mine at the health food store. They are a homeopathic brand and work really when his necklace isn't enough.
Re: Anyone have success with teething tablets?
Hyland's voluntarily recalled them for awhile and worked with the FDA to return them to the market a few months ago. Sorry no clicky.

Yes, Hyland's teething tablets have been working for us.
Found them at CVS.
She loves the taste of them - so she opens her mouth right up and I stick them under her tongue - they dissolve quick.
