Hi! I'm so sorry to bug you again, but I saw this deal and wanted to see what you thought:
https://www.target.com/p/Graco-My-Ride-65-Car-Seat-Preston/-/A-13478079
It's the Graco MyRide 65, online price at Target is $100 (+12.99 shipping), regularly $159. Is that a good deal? I know this is what you had recommended, and I'm seeing it at Amazon for $129. What are your thoughts? Is this a safe seat for the price? (ETA to clarify my idiot mistake!)
I don't want to get caught up in getting the cheapest deal, that is not what I'm all about by any means. I want the safest seat for my baby (who doesn't want that?), but for a good price since I need three. And also something that is going to last him a while, he's 18 lbs now, so up to 65 lbs seems like it'll be quite a while...
I also see the Nautilus for $129, but isn't that the step after the Snugride? It says it converts to a booster, but doesn't say anything about rear- to front-facing, so I'm guessing it's front face to booster?
Thank you so much in advance! I feel like such a dummy about this stuff and I want to do right by him. TY!!
(For fun, here's a pic of the guy I'm looking to keep safe. Yes, he's sitting in a pumpkin with a goofy smirk on his face...)
Re: MrsGo4
YES! That's a great deal!
The Nautilus does not rear face, so get the My Ride (I'm guessing that's what you meant by the link... the snug ride is the infant seat).
It rearfaces to 40 lbs and has a taller shell than a lot of others. My almost 3 year old is still rear facing in it. He's 30 lbs and I have no idea how tall he is, it's been a while since he's been measured.
I totally meant MyRide, ty!
Thanks for the info, I didn't want to buy without being sure that it was safe and a good deal. Especially since I'm getting three.
Does it latch into a latch system in a car pretty easily? We would just install and leave the seats in each of our vehicles, but my mom takes hers in and out quite often and so far, it's been easy with the latch system. Same thing with this seat?
We use the LATCH and it's not too terrible. It's just a metal clip, and while it's not as easy to unLATCH as the Britax (which has a button that you press to release it)... it's really not bad.
If your mom does it a lot, she'll definitely get the hang of it. I've seen MrsGo4 uninstall and install a MyRide in about a minute flat. Haha.
Ah you girls are rock stars, thank you! One more dumb question: so the step after this, would that be a booster, or another seat like this one, forward facing?
