An older man walks up to me and says...

DD and I were sitting in a coffee shop, pulled up to the counter so you couldn't see the front of me (hidden by the counter.)  I am not showing anyway--I finally told my coworkers that I am PG yesterday and non of them believed me--especially that I am 17 weks--because there is no baby bump.

So anyway, this older man and his wife walk in and sit down next to me, hardly glancing my way.  Suddenly, the man turns in my direction and asks, (barely having looked at me), "What are you naming your son?"  I misunderstood and thought he was asking DD's name (she gets mistaken for a boy) so I said, "Oh, her name is Katy."  He said, "No, you are PG and it's a boy.  Your son's name...it's on the tip of my tongue and I just can't quite get it out.  I think it begins with a J."  I told him we didn't know the sex yet and that we haven't discussed names.  He assured me it will be a boy but just couldn't quite figure out what the name will be, but said it would either begin with a J or a B.

The freaky part is, although I didn't tell him, he is probably right.  We have had a recent ultrasound and although it wasn't conclusive, the tech was leaning toward boy.  Our big U/S will be Nov 3, so we shall see.  And the kicker is the name part.  We honestly have not discussed names yet--we will wait until after we know for sure whether it is a boy or girl before we even mention names to each other (we figure it will eliminate half the arguments). BUT--when I was PG with DD, we had one name that we agreed on--JAMES.  Even though we haven't actually discussed it, I would lay odds that we'll end up using that name for a boy.  For middle names, we had considered 2 choices, one after DH's uncle, also a "J" name or after FIL, which would be a "B" name.  So in all liklihood, a son would have the initials "JJ" or "JB."

Isn't that freaky?
