I have been EPing through a suspected milk/soy intolerance. Its gotten too rough. I keep having issues with clogged ducts, thrush... arg!
I started mixing in the Nutramigen yesterday. Initially, she seemed to dislike the taste, but I was mixing into BM. By the end of the day, she was fine. This morning she was fine. She had two large poops- a bit different than normal BM poops. The second contained some mucous. Now, shes ultra fussy. Just like before we diagnosed the problem, 7 weeks ago.
WTfrack is going on? Is her belly just getting used to this formula? Is she reacting to it? I am seriously reconsidering. She was so much improved on the elimination diet, but I am struggling with the pump.
I don't know why she is crying. Now, I am. I started to cut back on pumping, and probably have put a notch in my supply, I am sure. Any ideas?

My clogged ducts are from crazy oversupply. Thats all. Today was the first day I tried to cut back on pumping. I just pumped until empty...back on the horse, I guess. Lame. I really wanted my boobies to heal from this abuse.
I have a call into my Ped. I don't think she even believes LO has a milk/soy problem. Um, yes. Yes she does. I am so disappointed. She told me to try the Nutramigen. Bah!
I know, it's crazy expensive. Our insurance covers it at 80% and I'm no expert on this and I'm sure other cans chime in, but there is a law in some state (including mine) that insurance HAS to help cover it because it's essential nutrition for lo's. I guess your pediatrician has to prescribe it and that's the proof that your lo requires it. Like I said, I'm no expert and luckily didn't have to be because our insurance provider has been awesome. I am a big believer in specialists, though - the expert will tell you exactly what your lo needs!
