Hormonal Imbalance after weaning?

I've been doing some googling and I have a doc appt next week...and I think my hormones are out of wack since weaning.  I have felt really off balance, I'm anxious, sluggish, kind of feel like I'm in la-la land.  I just feel really off.  Anyone else experience this after weaning??

I have not experienced this personally, but when I weaned, my postpartum depression counselor told me to do it very slowly because it is common to have a hormone crash if you do it quickly.  I also have a friend that weaned after a year, and she's been having a difficult time since.  I would definitely talk to your dr.  It is very common to experience this.

I was a mess when I weaned. like crying constantly, really could feel my moods actually swinging! headaches bad. things settled a bit. then the crying came back. then I got my period! since getting that things got much better! I actually don't think I have cried since and it's been almost a month since the period. hoping when the next one comes I won't feel bad again.
