How old were you when you stopped ToTing?

Looking back were you too young, too old, or just the right age to stop?

Did your parents force you to give it up or did you come to the decision on your own?

I was still taking my brother when I was 18. He was 13 at the time. I dressed up and collected candy. I think we were both too old, but it had become our thing since I'd been taking him since I was 11 and that was going to be our last year since I was headed to college the next fall.

Our parents obviously didn't force us to stop, but that was the last year my brother went.

I stopped on my own after like 9th grade.  But, I still went out after that because I took my younger brother out.  But with friends, I think 9th grade was it.

ETA: Nobody forced me to stop and I don't think I was too old.  I don't mind older kids ToTing.

I believe I was in middle school when I stopped.

I stopped when I was in middle school and started just wearing black to egg houses. In HS was when I started going to Halloween parties!

The last year I went was when I was 13. I felt so stupid out there. I never went again. The next year I had the best time handing out the candy! Totally my decision.

I stopped when I was in 8th grade.  It was my own decision.  I was 13.  Although, DH did convince me to go with him when we were in college.  I felt like such a dork.

I just had this conversation this morning with a co-worker.  His daughter is 13 and she doesn't want to go out this year.  I think I stopped around 12-13.  But then, when I was about 15, a bunch of us went out as kind of a last hurrah.
