Last night we went out to dinner for my grandfathers birthday. DD sat in the highchair at the table for nearly an hour! She was SO good. We had dinner at 6 and betime is usually around 7:30 so it was a little late for her. I brought her apple sauce for "dinner" and she ate it like a perfect little lady! Hardly any mess! She played with a toy, and ate a few puffs too. A little squeel here and there, but no screaming, crying, or whining. We were near the front of the resteraunt so everyone kept commenting on how sweet natured and cute she was. I was SO proud of her.
I'm also a little crazy when it comes to taking her out to dinner. I was a server for a long time and always hated cleaning up after peoples kids who would throw EVERYTHING on the floor and leave the table a disgusting mess. I'm very particular about picking up anything she dropped and containing her mess/trash. She did a great job.
Re: So Proud of DD
I still haven't taken my LO out to dinner or at a restaurant yet. You've inspired me to brave it out! LOL!
same here! I don't want to be "that person" who has the crabby baby that ruins everyone's dinner or has to run out early because he's crying. He is getting much better at meal time so it may be time to brave it!
our babies are growing up!!!
I know right! I don't want to be that parent either....but alas we will have to do it one day. I can't believe that our babies are 6 months old now....I remember when I was still pregnant trying to figure out how I am going to get some sleep with a big belly! LOL
