When did you go to size 3?

Our li'l guy is almost 14 pounds and I am about to order diapers.  I am worried he'll run out before he's ready for size 3, but I'll end up with way too many 2's that won't fit.

At what age/weight did your LO go to size 3?  I feel like he's flying through diaper sizes but he's soooo squirmy I feel like going up a size helps with leaking too!

Mine is about 14lbs also, I feel like we've got a little while to go before we go to size 3, the next box we have is size 2/3 have you looked into those mid sizes? I think size 3 goes to 16 or 18lbs, I could probably get up and check... or even google it, but I just feel so lazy right now  

eta - size 2 goes to 16 not size 3 sorry

Also in case you were wondering the size 2-3s go to 22lbs and size 3 go to 26lbs

Thanks for checking!  I can't find the 2-3 in pampers swaddlers sensitive at diapers.com or amazon -- where have you found them?

I got them at BJs, not sure if you have them there. I only buy diapers with the coupons they send and from what I've noticed they're always cheaper with the coupons at BJs than anywhere online.

Walmart might have the in between sizes too, not sure.

My DD was in 1's from birth, even though 2's are typically 12-18 I moved her into 2's at about 7 weeks when she weighed 10 lbs. We were having blow outs and some were getting snug around her waist. That being said she is now just shy of 16 lbs at 3mo 2wks and I've had a lot more blow outs lately and am thinking of moving to 3's. I use mostly papers swaddlers but also use luvs.

We just moved DD2 into 2's, but DD1 didn't move into size 3's until about 6 months. She weighed a little over 16 lbs at that time.
