what age for bed & room sharing?

XP: What age do you think it's OK to let kids sleep together in the same bed? Also, if your LO's share a room what age did you put them in the room together without them waking each other up?

**trying to think ahead for some possible room arrangments, and hopefully some better sleep for H **

My kids don't share a bed (and unless we're on vacation or visiting family where there isn't an option, they never will) but we just moved them into a room together recently when DC2 was about 11.5 months. They sleep great! I know people have done it much earlier with success too.

Good question!  My plan is to keep DS2 in our room until about 6 or so months and then move them in together.  I don't plan on having them share a bed anytime soon though.  They'll both be in toddler beds or DS1 in a twin bed and DS2 in a toddler bed eventually.  Eventually they'll move down to the basement where they'll have their own rooms...eventually meaning in 6 or 7 years.

My kids started sharing rooms a year ago, first it was my eldest daughter and son. That quickly wore out it's welcome because he's a crappy sleeper. Then I moved my 4 year old in with my then-11 month old daughter and now we're easy peasy! They like sharing a room, too!
