Dumb question.....

Why do some of you take aspirin? Is it supposed to help TTC after losses? Thanks for cluing me in! :)

    I take it because I have MTHFR - a blood clotting factor... baby aspirin thins my blood and hopefully won't kill a future fetus [with clots].

    What they said, except I am not on aspirin for a blood clothing disorder. My RE actually put me on it when we found out about our 2nd recurrent mc. Before any testing was done. But we then found out I have inflammation of the body. We are not sure what is causing it. So I am currently taking it to help reduce inflammation. I wouldn't take it unless your doc wants you too.
    DS is 3 years old* BFP#1-12/30/11, CP-1/6/11* BFP#2- 1/31/11-missed M/C at 9 weeks-3/9/11, D&C-3/14/11* BFP#3-7/13/11-M/C at 10 weeks-8/26/11, D&C -8/29/11* BFP#4-10/31/11- Beta at 10DPO-19, Beta at 12DPO-118, RE recommended heparin 2X daily and progesterone 2X daily.     Not a dumb questions at all!  Answers same as PP's.  I think it is good that this comes up sometimes because we see other ladies taking certain medications and some people may wonder if they should be doing that.  It isn't something one should do without their doctor's instructions.  There are risks and benefits to every medication. Sometimes the benefits really do outweigh the risks.
