Ever have one of those days...

..when you just want to cry? Today DD's naps were horrible. She also can not put herself to sleep, I have to rock or nurse ... I'm exhausted and just had a good cry.

I'm right there with you, and mine is has been up every 2 to 3 hours all night long for the past 3 nights.  I'd cry but I don't think I have the energy to.

Today was awful for me too! This morning I forgot bottles, formula, and his morning dose of prevacid when I dropped LO off at my mom's house this morning. She called me right before I got to work. Tried to get in touch with H but he doesn't go in to work until about 8:45, so he was still sleeping at around 7:45 (he works literally 10 minutes from the house). I had to call my principal and tell him I needed someone to step into my classroom while I ran by the drug store to pick up a few bottles and some formula - as I had forgotten them when I took baby to DC. I was really upset that baby couldn't take his medicine because it's a big help with his acid reflux. 

Nonetheless, I had to leave work early because my mom called saying LO was crying constantly for about 40 minutes. Which was a recent issue when he became constipated from rice cereal being added to bottles (advised by pedi). I figured maybe he was really hurting since he didn't get to take his medicine - as he always does have stomach issues if he doesn't take his medicine twice a day.

He barely napped once I got him. His medicine didn't kick in until he was about to have dinner and then head to bed. I had a fussy baby for the few hours I was off of work today! Blah!! I was so sad for him.

Sorry - didn't realize this had gotten so long. Just venting.

Ugh, I have these kinds of days too! My LO is the same way, needing to be rocked/nursed to sleep for naps and bedtime. It's really hard some days and I want to do some kind of sleep training at some point, but for now, it is what it is and most days it is working for us.

I'm with you... Most days the nursing & rocking works for us ... I don't know where to even start with sleep training.

Yeah, it wasn't quite bad enough today to be "one of those days" but it was exhausting today. I could hardly put her down for 5 mins without her getting upset. And last night she kept waking up. So today she wanted a lot of naps, which is fine but she has to be cuddled in order to take a nap. She also cannot get to sleep on her own. Its always in the back of my mind to try Ferber... but I just cant bring myself to do it.
