Two Under 2

3rd timers and m/s, different each time?

ok, so tell me when your m/s started the 3rd time in comparison to the 1st and 2nd. Was it better? worse, the same? I felt sick all last week, and the last few days I feel ok as long as I eat. With DS when it started at 4 wks it didnt stop til 11 wks. With DD it didnt start until 6 weks and ended at 16 wks and was BAD.

So I have a had a few good days, and that never has happen to me before, usually its all or nothing. I am waiting for the bad to hit me any day now, though Im enjoying every non sick moment ;)

Please share your stories, im curious ;)

TIA

Re: 3rd timers and m/s, different each time?

  • With DD I was sick all day, everyday, 6 weeks until 26 weeks. With DS1 I was sick a lot, not as much, from 7 weeks and only until 14 weeks. With DS2 I only actually got sick a few times, but was nauseous ALL the time from 5 weeks until about 16 weeks.

  • I've been ill with all three. With #1 I was sick until delivery.  With #@ it stopped around 16 weeks. I'm praying that with #3 it will stop sooner because I'm tired of having to throw up off the side of the tractor.

  • With DS I wasn't really sick at all. I just had some major food aversions which lasted until about 16 or 17 weeks. With DD m/s started around 5 weeks but I was already starting to feel better around 9 weeks. With #3, it started around 6 weeks and again, I started to feel better 10 weeks and almost "normal" around 12.

I think every pregnancy is different and there is no rhyme or reason for it all! With all 3 I had/have good and bad days. Hope it doesn't last quite as long for you this time!

  • With ds#1 I remember it like it was yesterday. It started at 6wks 4 days as I was driving home from an OB appt where I had just expressed my concern to the dr about my lack of morning sickness. I puked everyday for 6 months. With ds#2 I felt GREAT. I had a tiny bit of nausea around 6-7 weeks but that was it. I had a miscarriage in July where I made it all the way to 15 weeks. With that one I was sick around 4 weeks up until around 13 weeks. But it was different, I felt genuinely ill. Maybe that was my first sign something was "off". And now this time I get nauseous in the morning and then again at night. I am fine if I eat but if not is is a dry heaving party, yuck. It's pretty interesting how different each one has been. And all were boys too. Can't wait to find out the sex this time!

  • I've never had m/s, just lots of food aversions with all three.  Hope it doesn't hit you this time!

  • I had the worst m/s with my first pregnancy and it lessened each time.  Basically I ate my way through my first tri with #3 since constantly grazing and keeping food in my system kept my nausea in check.

  • No morning sickness with #1, horrible morning sickness with #2, no morning sickness with #3 just all day nauseousness.
  • thank you! you all are making me feel better. My mom is adament that it gets worse each pregnancy....if thats the case, Im screwed!

Im glad its not always like that. right now, if I eat it stays at bay....I hope it continues that way.

    thanks again
