Diet Coke + Glucose Test ??

My Glucose test is at 2:30...can I have a diet coke with lunch?

    I didn't, I stuck to water before the test. Just in case.

    nope! i am having my blood drawn at 2:50 and i have to drink my drink at 1:50....therefor i had to stop eating at 12:50. Only water till the test and lunch afterwards....

    I don't know that it would make a difference, but I, personally, would rather skip the soda... just in case! I'd hate for that to be the reason I failed.

    I wasn't told to fast, but I am probably only to have my soup and rice and then bring a snack for after the test.

    Is it just the one hour?  I only had the two hour and had to fast 12 hours.  But Diet Coke has no nothing in it, so I don't see how that would have ANY effect on your results.  No sugar, no carbs, barely any sodium.  If you're going to eat before it anyway, don't worry about it.

    Diet coke doesn't have real sugar, so I doubt it would change your glucose levels. It's okay for diabetics, so I'm guessing it is safe.

    don't you have to fast for the glucose test?  at least that is what the lab I am going to told me.
    surprise BFP 7/12/05 = missed m/c and D&C 9/28/05; TTC since 10/06; 1/16/08-D&C to remove bicournate uterus; 4 IUI's = BFN, 2 IVF's = BFFN. 8/5/09 Surprise BFP!! = another missed m/c and d&c 9/28/09 IVF #3 May 2010 = BFP!!!!  Beautiful DD born 1/16/2012.  8/1/13 Surprise BFP!!!  EDD 4/13/14.

    I was told nothing sugary before the test, I don't know how much is it one but why chance it.
