Old wives tale or truth?

So me and my sister went out yesterday, and i was holding DD on my hip with one leg forward one back. She went on to tell me if i always hold her like that she can be either bo-legged, or her hips will be used to being spread and they will be farther apart. ie screws up her hips. For some reason i can see maybe since shes always in that position they can grow to be used to that, but also maybe its a wives tale? WDYT?

Total BS.  I baby wear & I will wrap my LO on my hip all the time.  Babies legs are naturally spread out.

I find this hard to believe.  If this were true, I think there would be a lot of bo-legged babies, right?

This. The Ergo and similar carriers, whether worn in front or on the hip, all spread LOs legs.

If you hold the kid 24 hrs a day until they graduate high school, yes, they will have hip issues. And so will you.
