I bought a soaker off etsy from seller MyEcoBaby, lanolized it (pea sized amount melted in warm water, squirt of California baby wash), and let it dry. I used it 3 times and all three times the wool was pretty damp and baby's PJ's and/or sleep sack was damp as well. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?
Re: wool wicking
sounds like it needs to be lanolized more and you possibly need to add more absorbancy
we use cotton jammies over our wool soakers all the time, if the diaper is absorbant enough and the wool has been properly lanolized then it should not wick.
then just lanolize your wool again. sometimes it takes a few times to get new wool good and lanolized. it's ok if it feels slightly tacky, it'll wear off over time.
