I have to know - what do you do? Where did you get your vocabulary from??
I love that as I read your posts I often have to look words up online (or get lazy and just guess what they mean!) I had a friend IRL that was like this and I loved talking to her!!
Re: Broccoli...
I'm a SAHM atm, but I'm a wannabe writer, too. My BA is in English Lit so I got used to reading a lot really quickly, and I'm pretty good at trivia so I tend to remember words really easily. My grandmother was an English teacher and Scrabble was a big pastime for my mom's whole family (though I'm more partial to Boggle... less math).
I will say though that some of it comes from reading a specific author a lot. I don't mean J K Rowling or Michael Chabon or whoever specifically. I mean that if you read the Harry Potter series for example, Rowling uses the word "sanguine" pretty frequently, so if you don't know what it means the first time, you look it up, and each time it pops up it reinforces the knowledge of that word.
But no, please, go on about how awesome I am! *flips hair*
I only speak English. I took 4 years of Latin in HS and one semester of French in college.
lol, If you would post another picture of your cute baby, I would go on for days! lol.
Do you have a smart phone and play any Scrabble type games? I play Word Feud, if you have that, look me up. User name is the same as my bump name.
If I did I would totally play with you though.
I havent't played Boggle in ages. We are taking a quiet vacation soon, I am going to pack that game.
