Baby Names

we stumbled across a name

that neither of us had heard before, and we both really like it. Archer. We would pair it with 'jackson' as a middle name so the baby can go by whichever he prefers. Archer Jackson. Thoughts?

  • I like it and I really like the two together. You could also call him AJ if you wanted.

  • Archer and Tucker would be my number 1 picks if they didn't rhyme with our last name!  I think Archer Jackson is an awesome choice and I think the nn Archie is like the cutest ever!  Go for it!
  • I love Archer. I also like Jackson, but it is pretty popular right now. IMO, Jackson Archer sounds better than Archer Jackson. Archer Jackson sounds more like a first and last name, and Jackson Archer sounds a little more like a first and middle name. Either way, it's a cute combination.

  • As long as you're not planning on naming any future sons Hunter and Fisher, I think it can be a good name.

  • When I think of Archer, I think Rebecca Woolf and the Girl Gone Child blog. Definitely gets a cool/hip vibe from that IMO.

  • not my style, but its cute. I would be concerned about the nn archie...but I dont like nn's so I try to avoid names that you be changed into one.

  • I love the name but it reminds me of this adult swim cartoon that my husband and I have watched before. Lol.

  • I actually really like the name Archer. And it's one of mine and hubs fav shows on FX. I've know a few Arthur's and a family with LN of Archer and ppl called the oldest brother Archer as a nn.

Jackson isn't my fav, but it's not awful. I say go for it.

  • Archer is a possible MN for us (Magnus Archer). Jackson is normally NMS, but I think Archer Jackson is super cute!

  • I don't like it at all. My friend just had a baby a few weeks ago named Archer, but they are calling him Archie.
  • I like it a lot, especially since the option of the nn "AJ" is available.
