Phil & Teds Vibe double?

I'd like to know if this is a good stroller before I shell out $800 for it.  It seems a lot more compact than any of the other doubles, which is important since we live in the city.  However, I'm nervous about putting a newborn in the doubles seat. Also, My dh is abuot 6'4" and I'm worried he will be kicking the back of the stroller as he pushes it.  I think I will have to travel the distance to test the darn thing because for the money we may be spending, it's well worth it.

  • I bought one of the original P&T doubles the second I found out I was pg with #2. Then I found out #2 was also #3.

They make a great stroller. It is compact. You don't put the newborn in the add on seat, they go into the main seat. The bigger kid rides in the double attachment. I don't think there are many twin moms that use this stroller, though, because it is really best for people with two kids of differing ages.

My complaints about the stroller - it is a bit on the heavy side, partly because of the big wheels, so that's a trade-off. The basket it alright, but useless if you are using the double seat beneath. However it has an amazing push, fits pretty much everywhere, and is very easy to fold.

Another suggestion, if you are doing city walking vs. off-roading type stuff would be the Baby Jogger Citi Mini double. I freaking love that thing. Light, easy fold, good push. Same problem with basket being not great, but a really nice lightweight double. Oh, and it is SBS, but fits anywhere a wheelchair fits - almost everywhere.
