When you were pregnant

Did any of you have one of these:

Is it worth $50? I haven't been able to fall asleep since before getting PG (have a hard time getting comfy) and I'm sure it'll only get worse.

Also, is it as huge as it looks? We only have a queen size bed and I'd like to avoid replacing my husband with a pillow :p

Re: When you were pregnant

  • I didn't because I'm a cheapo and didn't want to spend the money.  I used a pillow under my head and chest, one under my belly, and one between my knees.  Towards the end of my pregnancy DH was recruited as an extra pillow for my back for me to lean up against or prop up a body part on.

  • I didn't. I used the body pillow I already had and it was a life saver. I think you can get just a plain old body pillow and case for under $20 at Walmart. I still sleep with mine.

  • I went cheap and just bought a simple body pillow from Kohl's with a fun pillow case cover, I loved that thing. But I know my friend has one and she swears by hers.

  • I got the Boppy version and it was a lifesaver.

However, yes, the H got mighty whiny about how he had no spaaace.  We have a Queen.

I'd recommend making sure your bed is in tip-top shape first, though.  Rotate the mattress, buy a foam topper if you need to, etc.

  • Yes, I have one. It is huge. We have a king size bed and it took up a lot of room. I think that a regular body pillow would work just as well though. I mean, I liked it but there are way cheaper versions as PP mentioned.

I got something like this online at ebay, brand new in the box, shipped for $40. It was by far the best $40 I spent. I got it during my first pregnancy 2 1/2 years ago and it's held up great. My DH and I both still use it when we get back pain and it works great. It's a great long term investment. It does take up a TON of room but I think it's worth it.

  • I had the boppy version. It was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!
  • I was too cheap to buy it, so i used two bottle pillows between the legs, and that helped a lot.

My sister bought that pillow, and she found it too bulky. She ended up just using regular body pillows like i did, from Target.

Totaly off topic, but was just looking at your tickers, remembered our LOs were born on the same day and I think you're the bravest girl ever for trying for 3u3. Smile

  • I used the boppy one. I loved it. I used a body pillow for a while too, but at some point it just wasn't working for me anymore. Once I finally caved and bought the boppy one , I could finally sleep. So worth it. Now DS uses it to fall on and sit on.. So it still gets used. :)
