Question for twin mommies

I have 21 month old twin boys. They share a room and for the last 2 months, 1 of them has been climbing out of his crib which resulted in a few falls to the ground. He was never hurt, just cried and was fine. His brother on the other hand, has tried but never got out. Last month we did try to switch their beds to toddler beds and to my surprise, the one who hasn't ever climbed out crawled in and went right to sleep for his nap. The other one would not sleep at all. He would look at his bed and just cry. If you took him out of the room, he was fine but when you tried to lay him back down, he'd cry. We took that as a sign he wasn't ready even though HE was the one trying to always get out.

When did you switch your twins beds to toddler beds?
