P had his a week ago today, along with his other 6 mo immunizations. He spiked a fever (for 2 days) stopped STTN, and has been fussy ever since. Of course I don't know if it was one of the shots or a combination, but he has never had any reaction to his other immunizations, including the 4mo, which are the same shots (minus flu.)
Lots of people say the 6 month shots are the worst- whether the flu shot is included or not. Some blame the reaction on the fact that there's a growth spurt or teething at the same time, others say that 6mo olds are just more aware and more mobile, so the tenderness of the injection spot hurts more... who knows?
I just wish I split up the shots so I'd know why my happy, STTN, great napping baby disappeared after that appointment

L had his first flu shot at his 6 month appointment along with his other shots. He was great all day and just got a little fussy and a low grade fever right before bed time. He was feeling good again the next morning so he didn't have any bad reaction to any of the shots. Unfortunately you won't know how your LO will react to the shot until he gets it but he should be just fine!

DS had a slight fever and was cranky for 2-3 days after his 6 month shots. I'm blaming it on the flu shot, but I'm still going to get the second half next week. I figure the pros outweigh the cons.
DD (2 years old today) had her 2nd round of flu shots this year -- and each time she's had no reaction (aside from crying of course) at all. DS however was extremely feverish for the following 24-48 hours, but otherwise perfectly fine. No other symptoms. I still need to get mine. :x
DD got her first one yesterday. I was a little freaked out when the nurse told me that if she got the flu shot we had to wait for ten minutes after she got it to check for a reaction. So I had a long talk with the doctor about it and decided that the benefits outweighed the risks. DD was slightly fussier than normal yesterday but I was pleasantly surprised when she slept through the night. She had been sleeping through the night since 3 months until four days ago when she got up once each night until last night when she slept all night.
DD had zero reactions. She handled it better than she normally handles shot days.

Ds just had the first dose yesterday, and last night was the first night ever that he slept for 12 hrs straight! I was preparing to go in there all night, but he had the opposite response. He was ok when he woke up, but not very hungry and also cried when we tried to give him solids (which he never loves really). Other than that, he was smiley and ready to play.
Also wanted to add based on the other responses that the 6 month shots were terrible for us. Ds was fussy and weaker for 3-4 days after. The flu shot was all he got yesterday, and he hasnt had those other problems at all.
DS just had his flu shot at his 9 month appt and a blood draw (for lead-normal in our state). He napped an extra 30 mins, and that was it. Totally fine.
She was fussy for a couple of days after her 6 month shots, which included the flu shot. I gave her Tylenol before bed, and she would go right to sleep with it. Without the Tylenol she couldn't get comfy, and she would fuss.
