My pump room is the office electrical closet. Its pretty big, but anyway, the outlet in it fried my pump's powercord! I was in the middle of a session when the power cut out. In a hurry I just unhooked it from my pump and plugged in the battery pack. Then I notice a really horrible smell. So I yanked the powercord out of the outlet and it was burning hot. And now it doesn't work at all. Now I have to buy a new cord plus I dont think Ill ever trust that outlet, so Ill need a million batteries for the back up for my work pump sessions. I wish they would reimburse me for the new cord or supply batteries. Would it be bad of me to ask for that?

Re: Stupid work
I would ask since it is really their fault.
They & you are just lucky it didnt fry the whole unit!
Invest in rechargable batteries if you go that route!
I am not too knowledgable electricity wise, but I think if you plug in a surge protector and then plug the pump to that it will regulate the voltage that the wall outlet is putting out. I'll bet you can even use an office surge protector that way if it fries it then it's not your money or loss.
