Would you work on naps separately even if the sleep association you are trying to change is the same?

We are only 5 days in, but we decided to concentrate on nighttime first.  Following that, we will work on unswaddling at night.  Once he has mastered that, the naps will follow.  He is in daycare during the day, so we want to get him acclimated as much as possible to the transition with us before we have our daycare provider try it while she's watching ours plus three other little ones.
