What "strange" name did you want name your baby?

What unusual name did you want to name your baby, but just couldn't bring yourself to because it was just too strange/hard to pronounce/etc.?
daughter born June 2011 via C-Section, son born November 2012 via VBAC

Star (personally) Our last name is a certain sly animal, and there is a video game called Star _ _ _
There's a woman in my book club named Gray.

I have liked it since watching the movie "Catch and Release," and the main character's name is Gray.
Cree - for a girl. Saw the name while watching A Different World when I was a kid (actress Cree Summer), and fell in love with it. It's been my guilty pleasure name since then. And I would've used Cree Summer (my last name). LOL The actress herself dropped her last name, and the two above are her first and middle names.
Most of these aren't "strange," but DH hates them and I love them.
Girls: Veronica, Poppy, Cassandra, Anastasia
Boys: Orry

I love Saoirse and Mairead for a girl (not "strange" names, just more unusual I guess) and my DH's family is very Irish and we have an Irish last name, so it wouldn't be too weird...but it doesn't go with our other DDs' names.
ETA: Lavender was a big contender for baby #2...I think it was our 4th favorite in the end.
This is my guilty pleasure girl name. I didn't push for it though since it wasn't first choice.
If B were a boy, she would have been Finn. (Which I don't think is strange, but I got some side-eyes from friends.)
Finn was up there on our boy list, too! Still might use it someday if we have a boy.

BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!
I know an Eowyn (from LoTR). FWIW I thought it was strange as did most of their friends.
For a boy? I love Landry.

Girl- Bellamy, Cora (not strange but H hated it)

I wanted Gemma but DH said it was too porn star.
He wanted Owen but spelled Eoghan. I didn't want to have to spend too much time explaining it.
DH loves Grey for a girl. Seraphina Grey was the other name we strongly considered for DD.

The only non-traditional name on my list was Amory, after the character Amory Blaine from Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise. DH nixed it, and I probably never would have used it, but I do think it's pretty (and the book holds a special place in my heart).

Agamemnon. I would never use it,ever,but I love it.
Girl:
Pretty much all of my top names were vetoed by DH and will never be used,including:
Valerie,Veronica,Freya,Calliope,Hazel.Lots of others,but I can't think of them at the moment.

Years ago I loved the name Summer. My good friend and I actually got into a tiff because she also wanted to name her daughter Summer! This was way before we even were thinking about having kids, lol.
She had her daughter 4 months ago and named her Kaitlyn. If we have a girl it will be Samantha.
