Two Under 2

3rd timers, come in

how fast did you bloat the 3rd time as compared to the first two? and did your morning (all day) sickness get worse each time, or were they all over the board?

TIA!

Re: 3rd timers, come in

  • Unfortunatly my stomach didn't go all the way back to normal after #2 so I looked about 12-14 weeks along even before I got pregnant the 3rd time!  As for morning sickness it got worse each time Sad but I've heard that isn't true for everyone. GL and congrats!

Thanks! I found out 6 days before my missed period and I feel so bloated already. I even weighed myself one day and then the next and it was a 2-3 lb difference, water I guess sinced I peed a lot and lost those pounds.

I feel ok now, but I know its only the beginning. DH just left for his 3 wks today, and I am nervous how I will handle the 2 kids alone for that long if I am as sick as I was with DD.

  • I looked pg much quicker with #3.  It was summer though, so that plays a part (pants and comfy sweaters show less than tanks and swimsuits!).  Even now I notice I am bigger (and feel more aches and pangs).  I say just roll with it and wear whatever feels comfy!

My 24/7 morning sickness was HORRIBLE with each of my prior pregnancies (even the baby we lost at 12w).  I am talking about pull over and puke on the side of the road sick.  Strangely his time was actually better than it was in the past (still needed Zofran, but not as much or as long) and I suspect it was due to the fact that I was still breast-feeding DS2 and restricting dairy and soy (especially dairy, even now when I have a bowl of cereal I don't feel well).

    GL & Congrats!

Fortunate to be a SAHM to my 3 musketeers (5/2006, 5/2010 & 12/2011). Soy & dairy free for the 3rd and final time. Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers Lilypie Second Birthday tickers Lilypie First Birthday tickers imageimage
  • I really don't bloat a whole lot.  And for me, my morning sickness got worse each time...Iam sure taking care of an extra child each time doesn't help with this...which may be why it got worse with each.  I don't know why I EVER complained being pregnant for the first time...talk about a cake walk!

  • I felt pretty bloated from the moment I saw a pink line. I moved into maternity pants much quicker this time than with my previous two. As far as morning sickness I am extremely lucky and didn't have it with any of mine but I can say that's it's definitely true that every pregnancy is different. I have 1 boy and 1 girl and with this pregnancy my food cravings/aversions are very different because nothing sounds good at all.
  • I swear I look 5 months pregnant. And I am much sicker then with my 2nd. Ugh!

  • I bloated around 8 wks but it went away and I didn't show until about 19-20 weeks.  Can't help with the ms, I never really got hit with it for any of my pregnancies.

  • I was definitely more bloated this time right from the beginning and the morning sickness didn't hit me until weeks 10-12 and I felt miserable until 2nd tri started. With my other 2 I was sick around week 6 and it wore off pretty quick.
  • I still had a lot of belly weight from #1 and #2 so I've always looked "pregnant", can't say if I bloated any faster this time though. I don't know exactly how far along I am since I was on the pill and not keeping track of my cycles. Morning sickness hasn't been awful yet but it didn't get BAD until 8-9 weeks with my first two and I *think* I'm around 7 now? Give or take a few days.

  • Bloat was instantaneous with #3.  Even though I was back down to my PP weight when I conceived, as soon as that little line showed up on the pee stick, I looked like 4 months PG.  I was in maternity by about week 6 mainly because I was looking for comfort over working with my non-maternity clothes to find things that would fit.  As for m/s, mine lessened with each pregnancy and was easily managed with constant grazing the third time around.
