Teething?????

Since Sunday my son has been generally a little more cranky than usual, chewing on his fingers and burpie (which he did quite a bit before), has been drinking a little less of his bottle and not wanting his cereal fruits or veggies as much (he will eat a little). He he has not fever, vomiting, cough, congestion etc. Do you ladies think he is teething? I didn't call the dr. cause he doesnt have any signs of being sick. What do you all think?

Re: Teething?????

  • Sounds like teething to me.  C is just overall "off" when he's cutting a tooth.  He has 7 now...so we are getting a little better...I think the poor baby is just used to it!

  • I knew my son was teething when there was a ton of drool and he would put either is fingers or try putting his whole hand in his mouth.  Does your baby have a lot more drool than usual?  Also, my son will try to put everything in his mouth and rub his gums.  He has been crankier than usual and I know a tooth will be popping out soon.  What I have been doing for him is using Hyland's Baby Teething Tablets.  They dissolve instantly and they are all natural.  You can find them at Walgreens and Target.  During the day, if it's bad, I'll give him 2 under the tongue and he calms down some.  At night, I give him 3 under the tongue and he sleeps the entire night.  Recently though, I've been giving him infant's tylenol at night only.  I only give him up to the first line which is 0.4 I believe.  Of course, you should ask your doctor but this has been working for me.  Good luck.
