Cycle 6 around the corner--CBEFM?

Hi girls,

I don't get to post too much with work and all and just wanted to vent.  Cycle 6 is a few days away and was thinking of purchasing a CBEFM.  Is it worth it?  I found some good deals on Ebay.

TIA.

  • as long as you aren't dealing with severe MFI or blocked tubes it may be helpful

  • Hey!  I am moving on to cycle #6 also. I started charting and using OPK strips this last cycle...they seemed to REALLY help me.  I thought about getting the monitor also but it did seem a bit pricey.
  • Thanks.  I have an appointment scheduled in December with my doctor to go over the next step.  When I talked to my doctor in May, she told me to give it 6 months or so and then come in to talk.  That's our plan so far.
  • It can be helpful as long as your cycles aren't longer than 45-50 days.

Anything longer than that and you'll miss your ovulation day because when you first start using it you start testing at day 8 or 9, and test for 20 days max.

  • Totally worth it, in my opinion.  We've been trying to get pregnant since last November, and I used the CBEFM this past cycle and just got my first BFP this morning.  I bought mine from someone on Craigslist for dirt cheap.  She only used it once and got pregnant first time around.  I think it's a good investment.
    I HAVE CHILDREN.
  • I haven't posted much but my DH and I are in the middle of cycle # 5 (scheduled to O this week). We are also considering getting a CBEFM- but I've scheduled a DR app't for November to run some tests- and make sure there isn't anything else going on before we spent the $.

I've heard they are really helpful- one of my girlfriends used it and was pg in 2months after 7 of trying on their own.

Good luck! I know how you feel :)
