Anyone feed their LO hummus yet? It's a staple for lunch around our house, and I can't really seem to find anything about whether it's okay or not for babies to eat. I would just use plain/original flavored hummus, nothing spicy.

I forgot to see how little your LO is, but maybe you could mash chick peas as an introduction to hummus? I don't know what the beans will do to your LO's digestion, but if you started with straight-up chick peas, you'd know what ingredient is causing a reaction.

Actually, they can be. They contain a protein which is similar to soy and if you have a soy allergy, you might also be allergic to garbanzo beans.
I haven't given it to DS yet but we eat a lot of it and I'll probably introduce it by the time he is one.
I love hummus but the amount of garlic in it makes my guts ache. Do you think your LO's digestive system is ready for something that strong? I am pretty sure mine wouldn't be ready for anything like that.
