We have been staying with friends while we have been out here. They have twin boys...one of whom woke up yesterday with an upset stomach from either something he ate or flu. I basically quarantined myself in our room the whole day just in case. I am on a medication that lowers my ability to fight off infections and after all we have gone through to get to this point I can't imagine getting sick and not being able to transfer. We are assuming it is the flu because he still got sick last night too. I feel like I can't leave our room again and feel like I'm being rude to our friends (who say they totally understand but still). I don't know if we should pack up and go to a hotel for the next few nights (potentially 4 more) or just stay here? What I'm also worried about is that as soon as this kid starts to feel better, his brother will get it. They sleep in the same room and everything. Ugh, I don't know what to do!

DX: High FSH/DOR
It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    I'd be worried about being too sick for ET too.  I'd book a hotel.  Maybe I'm just crazy but with everything you're going through I wouldn't chance it.  GL!

    i would feel better in a hotel and much less stressed

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    I think I would go to motel.  I haven't really been on much lately, but it sounds like you are towards the end of cycling and I just wouldn't want to risk it.  Maybe your friends would actually be relieved, it can't be fun to have a sick child and company at the same time.

    If you can swing it, go to a hotel. You've been through so much and just don't want to risk it. Also take some Emergen C and get lots of rest!!

    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!

    10/13 - BFP!!

    I agree with the other ladies.  If you can afford a hotel, then I would do that for peace of mind.  Since it's last minute, maybe you can even priceline it or something and get a good deal.
    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
    IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
    IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    I would book a hotel.. I wouldn't want to take the chance of catching something when you are so close to ET.  Just not worth the risk after everything you have gone through to get to this point.  Your friends will understand I am sure.  Good luck hun!
